At Brentwood Day Nursery, we place a strong emphasis on helping children develop independence, particularly when it comes to personal hygiene and managing their belongings. 

Children are encouraged to hang up their coats, organise their things, and take responsibility for their personal space. To support this, we include activities that teach hygiene awareness, showing children the importance of cleanliness and tidiness. 

As part of our daily routine, we also include tooth brushing to promote good oral hygiene, with discussions about why it’s important for their health. By fostering these habits early on, we help children build confidence in caring for themselves and their environment.
